I recently did a shoot with fellow wedding vendor G & G Blooms (based in Lodi, CA -- but will travel for your wedding) and here is some of the weddings looks and Valentine work on the bottom.

Above and below is a bridal bouquet -- same one just shot at different angles.

These are two different sprays which could be placed on a mantel, on a gazebo or at the head table.

I was able to take some photos during one of my co-workers baby showers and an set to do the newborn shots when Baby R comes in early March (I'm hoping for the 4th -- That's my birthday).

Successful Thinkers Feb. 1 {Meeting}

I took my canon camera to the last meeting since I was asked to photography the meetings.

I like to sit up close to the front, but still need to move around a bit.

Again we had a quest speaker where fellow member Sandie Gilbert with Mary Kay took the notes while I shot. He gave a lot of one liners which were really motivational

Successful Thinker Jan. 18 {Meetings}

So last week I was asked to kinda be the photographer in the room (although these shots were taken with my iPhone since I didn't have my Canon with me).

This meeting we had one of the members talking about a business plan and how to go about starting up a new business.

I have a few shots from each person who got up to the podium.

Successful Thinkers - Dec. 30 {Meetings}

My second meeting with Successful Thinkers was about how to communicate with clients and so on.

Here are some of the notes from the day from fellow ST member Sandie Gilbert, of Mary Kay.

-email communication - your customer is anybody in the office in or outside the company
-70% buying decisions based upon positive interactions
-people buy from people not companies-pick words carefully so they are not offensive
-remember email communication is lacking any personality, voice intonation, gestures, etc.

Introducing Baby G {Newborns}

I had the opportunity to take photography of this 11-day old baby.

We were shooting for her sleepy time, but she decided to sleep all day and was wide awake for the entire session and tuckered out after the shoot was over.

Still got some good shots with a wide-awake little one, can't wait for the parents to see some more shots other than the few I posted on my facebook page.

This blanket was made by her great-grandmother a few years back and means a lot to her mother. We used this blanket a few times under Baby G and as a back drop.

I love the idea of using the heart in different places -- this was a new one for me and I have more ideas to use in the future.

Custom Valentine Cards Or Sweetheart Session

I have a Valentine Special going on from now till Feb. 10 where parents can get a 30 min shoot for their children to make custom Valentine cards for class.

Also a pair or singles can get a session deal with the "Sweetheart Session."

New Projects {Letters - Joy}

So I've been working on some projects on the side and one will be collecting photos of every letter in the alphabet (some double letter so there might be a Christmas looking "O," for words such as "JOY" and normal "O" maybe for a family name.

My sample and the only letters I have so far in photographed below and can be purchased as a whole or each letter separately. Prices will be listed below and I will keep the blog updated once I have more letters.

Here are two samples of a way to view or set up the separate framed letters to form the word.

Pricing will go:

* $7 a letter for words with 3 letters or less

* $6 a letter for words with 4-5 letters

* $5 a letter for words with 6 or more letters

So the more letters for buy the cheaper they are apiece. If you would like something the the first photo shown in the blog it will be the normal print prices unframed.

Successful Thinkers {Event}

I was invited to come to a meeting with a group of small business owners called "Successful Thinkers."

It's a FREE networking group in Stockton on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Posted are some iPhone photos from last weeks meeting and quotes taken by fellow member Sandie Gilbert, a Mary Kay consultant.

The main idea of the group is "focus on people"

Wedding tidbits {Gabe & Yohana}

The "Tidbits" second is meant for the little extras during the wedding, like arrivals, cake, favors, the dress, cars, and flowers.

This was looking through the glass window at the during after the ceremony when the girls were doing the bustle on the dress.

The wedding party traveled in these old cars from the church to the wedding reception.

This cake topper has a special meaning to the Pettersen family.

It has been used in four different wedding within the family.

All these beautiful flowers were made my the groom's sister-in-law.

The wedding favor was a flower bulb.

I had a lot of fun shooting this family and I got to try a few new things in some different areas at the lake.

Most of the photos are edited with the "Golden Vintage" look since the family liked those the best.

Here is a different edit I hadn't used before -- It's called "Magic Sunset."

At the beginning of the nature trail there is a little stage and we used it to play, jump......

Another edit I hadn't used, but I love the look of it.

And dancing.....

Bridal Shower {Karyn}

Even when I'm the guest of honor I still have my camera in hand to take some shots.

And these showcase samples of what you could expect if I was hired for an event such as a birthday, bridal shower, baby shower and much more.

These two shots were taken by my mother, but the rest showcase my work.

Above: Just me with the practice bouquet made by Page (my sister-in-law and bridesmaid).

Below: With my Maid-of-Honor and three bridesmaids.

In the place of cake the girls made/decorate these cute little cupcakes with two different purples (although the one looks pink here) with sparkle white ball sprinkles wrapped in sliver foil (since my colors are purple and sliver).

My sister-in-law displaying the winning TP wedding dress with it's pick-ups and and bling.

A vase with some sliver branches had these little tags hanging where guests could give marriage advise for the couple.

Again the cupcakes with the crown paper around them that my sister-in-law Page made to give it a Princess feel.

The maid of honor (back) Erika and hostess Tara showcasing the game board of matching the Disney couples. The theme was Disney with an elegant feel.

The party favors -- a handmade coaster with some tea.

Here is the tree branches with the tags of advise.

Peanut butter chocolate chip apple sandwiches were just one of them any food items for the brunch.

So I did a Daddy & Me session with Jonathan and Jewels the other day at the lake and used many shots with a vintage feel.

This also includes MANY shots of Jewels and her cuteness without daddy.

I loved her facial expression in the shot below.

Playing with the flowers. I took quite a few of these with different angles and different parts in focus.

She was upset about not being able to do something, but with her eyes just a little bit watery it was too cute to pass up.

Corey & Jewels {Friends}

I was only able to get the two shots the pair together the other day. Corey kept going back and fourth about wanting his photo taken, while Jewels will stand wherever you want her and pose for a how long you need her.

I love both of these shots though and I'm so glad we were able to get them on that fun day at the Lake.

Sneak Peek {Daddy & Me}

When I do session with a father and child or mother and child or even grandparent and child I loved the concept of calling it a "Daddy & Me," "Mommy & Me," "Grandma & Me" and so on sessions.

Jonathan is one of the hardest people to shoot where Jewels is one of the easiest, but I think I got some good ones of the pair together.

This is one of my faves and Jonathan's mother loved this shot of him.

I shot little Mr. Corey the other day at the lake and the bulk of the photos have the edit "golden vintage" since his mother said she liked it the most.

I didn't catch the name of this booth, but there was quite a few cute items.

Custom Cuties again. These are lavender bears. Super cute.

Another booth I didn't catch the name, but I thought this hat was cute.

I was able to make it out to another one of Jewels' games and with only one game left I will be sad that it's over, but exciting for the next step next year.

Sports {Jewels in Tots Tball}

Jewels just started Tots Tball last week and I went out and shot many photos of her.

This was too cute. Since she normally just plays with daddy in the front yard she got a little upset when the ball didn't come to her every time.

I ordered sports business cards and plan to shoot some of the other players too so I can hand out the cards to the parents so they can order prints if they would like -- so look forward to more sports shots from the next few weeks.

Spring Fling Sale {Local event -- win a free photo session}

One of my friends and fellow vendor created an event for arts, crafts, independent sellers and such and another friend and fellow vendor will be hosting the event.

The event is called the Spring Fling Sale and we hope you make it an annual event.

The sale will be located at a private home (in the large backyard) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday May 28.

Below I have posted a photo where each vendor or host is listed with the product title and description. Some include photography, make-up, Tupperware, home decor, purses, jewelery and handmade crafts for all ages.

A new home {Gilbert}

Jonathan, Page and little miss Jewels just bought a home and I had the pleasure to take some shots while they painted their new home.

Page and Jonathan had some fun with the paint.

Jewels got a little roller and was able to help paint her room purple.

Here's the pain can at the start of the day.

Daddy painted her name on the wall and we saved the space for last to paint over.

She loved painting her room.

Bridal shower {Page}

I had the pleasure in shooting Page's bridal shower where the Gilbert's and Bowles got together to celebrate the joining of two single people and their families.

Easter fun {Jewels}

I would normally post these fun posts on my other blog but I thought these turned out pretty cute and wanted to shear them on this blog.

The shots were of my little niece Jewels hunting for eggs on the first Easter in their new home.

I absolutely LOVE this shot of her with one of the "real" eggs.

She was so excited when she first started looking for the eggs as she was finding two or three at a time.

Just one of the many gifts which were left for Jewels in her basket. (It's a flower which moves when powered by the sun).

This was an egg which was dropped and was named the "Humpty Dumpty Egg."

Got a few shocked looks to go along with the excited looks.

Birthday Parties {Tim Sr. & Tim Jr. No. 50 & 30}

After a quick drive to Ripon I met this family who planned a surprise birthday party for Tim Sr. (second from right) and Tim Jr. (far right). Also pictured is the wife/mother and two sons/brothers.

Placed at the front of the entrance were these two sign-in sheets for each birthday boy.

Sneak Peek {Birthday party for 2}

I had the pleasure to head over to Ripon and shoot for this family throwing a surprise birthday party for Tim Sr. {50} and Tim Jr. {30}.

I was a gift to the family from one of their guest who has always felt like part of the family.

Here are just two shots one of the signs people got to sign for the birthday boys as they entered the location and one of the family.

Tim Sr. is nearly hiding in the back and Tim Jr. is on the far right.

Wedding flowers {Page's test run}

Last month Page, my mom and I went to Oakland to pick up some flowers from the flower mart to do some test runs on making the bridal flowers for Page and Jonathan's June wedding.

Here are some of the photos from the day.

Page's bridal bouquet with her rings in the middle.

Page picked this jewel up online (I believe -- where she's found many deals, such as her vases for the centerpieces -- also photographed lower).

The blushing bride with her bouquet. The roses in this will also be white. These green roses were the closest we could get to white on the day.

A shot of all the flowers which were purchased on the day in Oakland (and the Lodi Safeway).

These flower balls will be for the flower girl (Jewels) and placed on eight Shepard hooks for the aisle. Again these red carnations will be WHITE for the wedding -- red was the only color on hand to purchase on the day.

Jewels at Jessie's Grove {Children}

Last month I took Jewels to my Jessie's Grove location. We were there for a while and went all over the property.

She had so much fun on the ropes.

Jewels in the yellow flower {Children}

I've been wanting to do a shoot in these yellow mustard plants for more than two years now and here are the results with Jewels.

The sun was a little too much for her when it was streaming through the clouds and she need my sunglasses.

The yellow bumblebee chair was prefect since there were many bees around.

This was one of the first shots I took with the white, sliver and gold curly ribbon in her hair.

Sneak Peek: Jewels in the Yellow flowers {Children}

I took Jewels out to finally do my yellow mustard plant shoot that I have been wanting to do for the past two years.

Still didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. There were bees, and the sun in her eyes, and then the fall....but I did get some good shots.

Birthday Parties {Jewels' No. 4}

Jewels' fourth birthday took place at Check-E-Cheese and here are some of the shots from her day.

Above: She told her Mimi and Papa (Great grandma and great grandpa) that she wanted a pink cowgirl hat and she got one.

The lady hosting her party gave her two big handfuls of tickets and daddy showed them off just some of them after stuffing the rest in his pockets.

Jewels asked for a Hello Kitty themed party and here's the Kitty cake that her mom made for her.

And the party favors for her pre-school classmates.

Disney on Ice {Best of the night}

I went to see Disney on Ice: Let's Celebrate with mom, Jonathan, Page and Jewels (Thanks for the tickets Jen) and here are some of (what I think are) the best shots of the night.

I tired to keep photos in with the same sections of the show, but some are out of place.

Mickey and Minnie did some traveling to New Orleans, China, and Hawaii. Jack Skeleton came out with some of the evil Disney characters for a Halloween bit. Alice and company came out for a birthday tea party. Minnie wanted to become a princess and was joined by many Disney couples (This is the section where some photos are in two different areas). Mickey had a Fantastic moment. Then the show ended with a Christmas bit where Mickey and the gang were joined by the cast of Toy Story.

The show contained much more fun and excitement, which was captured I just had to pick through many to pull these 16 shots because I didn't want the blog to be too overwhelming.
