Easter fun {Jewels}

I would normally post these fun posts on my other blog but I thought these turned out pretty cute and wanted to shear them on this blog.

The shots were of my little niece Jewels hunting for eggs on the first Easter in their new home.

I absolutely LOVE this shot of her with one of the "real" eggs.

She was so excited when she first started looking for the eggs as she was finding two or three at a time.

Just one of the many gifts which were left for Jewels in her basket. (It's a flower which moves when powered by the sun).

Just one of the eggs Jewels dyed with mommy and daddy.

This was an egg which was dropped and was named the "Humpty Dumpty Egg."

Got a few shocked looks to go along with the excited looks.

Another dyed egg.

Another smashed egg and I asked for a sad face and this smiled with happiness.

Picking up an egg.

Duel dyed egg.

Her basket of eggs after she found them all.

Birthday Parties {Tim Sr. & Tim Jr. No. 50 & 30}

After a quick drive to Ripon I met this family who planned a surprise birthday party for Tim Sr. (second from right) and Tim Jr. (far right). Also pictured is the wife/mother and two sons/brothers.

The two birthday boys.
Placed at the front of the entrance were these two sign-in sheets for each birthday boy.

Tim Sr. with his mother.
Tim Jr. with one of his best friends Don.

The family with a pair of wife's/daughter-in-laws/sister-in-laws.

Tim Sr. getting another surprise for the night.

These were placed on the tables as party favors for the guest for coming out to the surprise party for the pair.

Some party goers having fun at the pool table.

The cakes.
I didn't get the story behind the chocolate milk, but it was something important to get.

After the surprize, the food, a slideshow it was time for some dancing.

Sneak Peek {Birthday party for 2}

I had the pleasure to head over to Ripon and shoot for this family throwing a surprise birthday party for Tim Sr. {50} and Tim Jr. {30}.

I was a gift to the family from one of their guest who has always felt like part of the family.

Here are just two shots one of the signs people got to sign for the birthday boys as they entered the location and one of the family.

Tim Sr. is nearly hiding in the back and Tim Jr. is on the far right.

More to come: The double birthday; the Gilbert's new home; a new family session.

Wedding flowers {Page's test run}

Last month Page, my mom and I went to Oakland to pick up some flowers from the flower mart to do some test runs on making the bridal flowers for Page and Jonathan's June wedding.

Here are some of the photos from the day.

Page's bridal bouquet with her rings in the middle.

Page picked this jewel up online (I believe -- where she's found many deals, such as her vases for the centerpieces -- also photographed lower).

The blushing bride with her bouquet. The roses in this will also be white. These green roses were the closest we could get to white on the day.

A shot of all the flowers which were purchased on the day in Oakland (and the Lodi Safeway).

These flower balls will be for the flower girl (Jewels) and placed on eight Shepard hooks for the aisle. Again these red carnations will be WHITE for the wedding -- red was the only color on hand to purchase on the day.

An example of the balls which will be placed on the Shepard hooks.

And our little flower girl being the model.

And again being our little model for a few more shots.

This will be the centerpieces (viewed from above).

Again the centerpiece (viewed from table side).

One of the bridesmaids (me) with the bridesmaid bouquet, which is close to the bridal bouquet, but a tab bit smaller and the girls will have green hydrangea where the bride will have white.

Another shot of the bridesmaid bouquet.

The boutonnieres for the men.

A test run with the boutonnieres.

The corsages for the mothers and grandmother.

Another view of the boutonnieres.

Sneak Peek {Bridal flowers}

My mom and Page will be doing all of the flowers for Page's wedding. Page is to wed my younger brother Jonathan in June.

Here is just a sneak peek with Page's bridal bouquet with her rings raped in the flowers.
