The Lee Family {Mommy & Me}

Annie (the daughter) contacted me about getting a session in the book during the month of May for her mother.

She realized after Mother's Day passed she didn't really have many photos of her mother. The session was done in the comfort of her own home, which was super lovely.

Above: Loved this shot with this blanket because it was so colorful and has a lot to do with the families culture.

Below: The pair together for the next two shots.

Above: I loved all the beautiful saying throughout the home.

Below: There were so many spots in front of the home and in the backyard.

The was a little bit of a language barrier since the mother didn't speak English, but with Annie's help throughout part of the session I had a blast with them both and "Mommy" did a great job understanding me without any words. =)

Above: I always love to play with things, such as flowers, leaves, trees in the foreground and during the shoot I found out Annie likes the idea of it too.

Below: Here is the teaser, which happens to be one of my FAVE shots from the day of the pair.

Mastery for Women May 10 {Meetings}

Early this month I went to a meeting for Mastery for Women, which is part of The group meets at two different time -- once for a lunch and once for a dinner.

These shots were taken during the lunch event with a presentation from Kate Song and self defence.

Above: Pillar, one of the leads of the central valley chapter of Mastery for Women opens the meeting.

Below: A member and lead ambassador for the Stockton Successful Thinkers speaks during the meeting.

Fellow member Jessica shows off her hat, which is a little teaser for what's to come at the dinner set for May 25 at 5:30 p.m. in celebrating women.

Kate Song, the other lead for the central valley chapter of Mastery for Women was the presenter of the day and gave helpful hints to women safe throughout the day and night.

Kate, C.E.O of Kateys Kandles gave some demonstrations.

Fellow member Sandie Gilbert, a Mary Kay consultant took notes during the meeting:

*****

- Instinctual fear protects you so trust it.

Towards the end of the meeting Malia Cash-Taylor, owner of Hawaiian Legacy Catering & Design read a little big from a poem.

You might be wondering why my logo isn't on the photographs on list post. Since Successful Thinkers/Mastery for Women isn't about promoting your own business, but in helping build others.
As any other photographer would I still placed a watermark so the photos can't be reproduced without consent from the artist.
Therefore in the future all other Successful Thinkers or Mastery for Women meeting with only have the watermark so it isn't insinuated that I am posting these blogs to only promote myself, but the people who attend the meetings.

Sneak Peek {Mother's Day shoot}

Just a lovely photoshoot yesterday with Annie and her mother. Here is just a little teaser from the shoot.

Here is the one shot with two different edits.

1. The top if my vintage look I like to use for some shoots.
2. Is just a normal edit with minor touch up of color.

(minor note: all photo get lighting, blemish and distraction touch ups every time)

Seniors & a couple {Chelsea & Ian}

Early May I shot a couple who were also graduating seniors from Linden High School. We shot at a new location to me, it was a cute little winery (which could also be used at a wedding venue) of highway 88. I absolutely feel in love with this location and can't wait to shoot there again.

I more to the pair together and a few individual shots here are some of the best from the session with Chelsea and Ian.

Today I have a "Mommy & Me" shoot which I'm super excited for. I will be shooting in the clients' backyard, which I saw photos of and looks great.

Brides {Portraits}

I had the opportunity to shoot some pre-wedding bridal portraits the first weekend of May.

I loved the winery we shot at which is located off highway 88 near Linden & Stockton.

Coming soon will also be a senior shoot at the same location. For now here are some of the best shots of the bride with a Vintage look.

So I joined this online group and this past weekend was a meet-up photo shoot where many models came to be photographed.

I had to leave early for work so I was able to shoot the seniors (Chelsea and Ian who also happen to date) and the bride.

Here is just a little peek into some of the session.

WPPI - Tradeshow {Big Event}

I was able to go to WPPI this past year and I took a TON of photos....this blog post in a long time coming, but it's only the first of many WPPI posts to come.

I went to the convention with my good friend Joleen of Joleen Vincent Photography.

These are some of the shots from the tradeshow floor -- and one of the BIGGEST moments was meeting Zach and Jody Grey (Zach is below).

So withing the first five minutes of the tradeshow I WON A VIDEO CAMERA. The guy taking the photo missed the part about "hey can you include the PRIZE in the shot."

One of her BIGGEST moments was when she got to meet the Boudoir Divas (pictured below).

Just a set up by one of the vendors (and of course the shots of me were taken by Joleen).

A few booth has a basket or box of fortune cookies and you dropped a card in one side and picked up a cookie. I won TWO album books and ONE set of templates and a few other discounts, but I never got the wavers for those.

OMG It's Zach and Jody (Jody below). I got to see Zach three times and Jody twice. The set of photos below are the two giving a lighting talk during the tradeshow.

A few of the booth had models on hand for us photographers to test the lighting, prob, backdrops, and cameras.

Joleen showing of these yummy cookies from PPA.

Joleen testing out a new strap and the second photo she's testing a new lens.

Joleen took this shot of me with the new lens I NEED.

These girl were rooming the halls with these light sabers as advertisement for the booth.

Some shots from above at the WHCC booth.
