I participated in the Sacramento Zoo Zoom this year with my sister-in-law (we did the 5K race) and my 5-year-old niece.
She (the niece) even ran the kids run and for her ago group is was a 1/4 mile. Here are some of the shots from her race and then the animals we saw after the race, since all participates got free admission to the zoo along with some tasty & healthy treats.
She was sooooo excited to get a medal.
