Successful Thinkers - May 2 {Meetings}

Last week I was minus my normal note taker during the Successful Thinkers meeting, but I had first-time meeting goer Jonathan Gilbert, an agent with Modern Woodmen of America.

This was the first meeting for new lead ambassadors Malia and Annie (photographed below).

After in introductions (we had the most new people at the meeting that I've seen in a while) two outside ambassadors talked about being an ambassador.

First was Jean Hooks, Ambassador for Vallejo and is the Executive Director for Mastery for Women in the.

Second was Chris Roe who an ambassador for Young Successful Thinkers in the Sacramento area.

I did something a little different for the Stockton ambassador (which I might do a little different next time).

Here are some head shots of the ambassadors while they were speaking about why they became ambassadors.

Jean Hooks was the presenter/speaker for the day and here are some of the notes and quotes Jonathan wrote down from the meeting:

Everybody has power.

If you have to tell people your a leader then your probability not.

Don't be the victim - be the solution.

Towards the of her presentation she asked the group as a whole three questions and spilt up by table to talk amongst ourselves. These are the questions she gave us.

1. What brought you to Successful Thinkers?
2. What do you want to leave with?
3. What do you want to contribute?

My group of people came up with a few different things and consisted of one lead ambassador (Malia), two new members and myself.

Here were some of our answers. (We didn't write our answers down so I'm going a bit off of memory).
1.
To meet new people.
To help others build their business.
Networking.
2.
Building better relationships. (This was a lot of what everyone was thinking).
Helping with the community.
3.
Help as much to help others.
Help spread the word about the group.
Taking photographs and sharing online. (This of course was my answer).

Above is Annie, one of the two lead ambassadors for the Stockton group.

Below is Pilar and she was one of the former lead ambassadors for the Stockton group, but not heads the Mastery for Women in the central valley (which meets in Stockton). Two upcoming meetings are a lunch on May 11 at the Spaghetti Factory at 11:30 a.m. and a dinner on May 25 (location TBD) where they are asking women to wear their big hats, like Jean wore at the beginning of the blog.

MORE TO COME: Seniors; WPPI; Children; Vendor events; Birthday
