Sara's Baby Shower {Events}

I love doing event photography and I think it comes from my educational background of photo journalism.

I attend a co-workers baby shower (and the baby is due any day now -- I'm hoping for March 4 {my birthday})

Here are my shots from the food, games, decorations and the people.

Sneak Peek {Mommy & Me}

I couple days before I was set to leave I got an e-mail from a mother who found me on facebook and wanted a "Mommy & Me" session with her five-month-old daughter, but was only available on Sunday's so rather than doing the session farther away she picked the morning slot on the same day I was flying out to WPPI.

This was great because I had something to do while sitting in the airport. I posted a few teasers using my iPhone since I didn't have intranet connection, but here is a little taste of our session at Hutchins in Lodi.

WPPI {Photo Convention}

I will be leaving for WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) on Sunday, which takes place in Las Vegas, NV at the MGM Grand and will be back on Thursday.

I'll be meeting up with one of my fellow Sac State grads Joleen Vincent of Joleen Vincent Photography in Sacramento. I will be attending many platform classes to help further my lighting, posing, marketing and much more.
From Monday-Wednesday the conference will have a trade show with many booths including:

Baby K & K {Babies}

I had the pleasure to shoot these adorable twin girls this past week and since I will be leaving for a photo convention on Sunday I rushed to get some photos up on the blog for the parents and grandparents to see.

I shot some together, some separate and some with the parents.

I love doing the little heart now and I put these together.

And we squished them into a cute basket.

The couch was right next to a staircase so I was able to get some decent Ariel shots.

I loved this blanket/pillow thing. It was too cute. We started with this and the girls were bit fussy -- while going through the editing process I was wishing I had put the girls back on the lamb in the second outfits. But the pair is still cute in here.

Jason & Lesley {Couples}

Another "sweetheart Session" couple. I used to play softball with Lesley {Go team Frost}.

I took them out to a local winery and we had some fun.


The sun came out to play a little here -- we were lucky with a bright, but cloudy day.

Had a little fun playing pee-a-boo behind the tree.

Gabe & Yohana {Couples}

Here is a little more from the session with Gabe & Yohana -- Loved the setting in Clements we used (although it's a private residence).

It was nice playing with shapes.

You can always get some natural shots having them walk.
