Baby Shower { Small Events}
It's been a super exciting time for my brother's little family and I'm glad I got to be a part of it.
My brother and his wife welcomed their first son in late Oct. I will be posting three different blogs for them. First is this one from the baby shower -- Second is the maternity shoot, which I've already teased -- Third the newborn session with Mr. Luke when he was only 11 days old.
Let's get back to the baby shower. Ever since Page's Bridal shower two years ago my mother and I said we wanted to plan the baby shower when it came to it. We were both super excited when Page told us the news and I started planing right away. I already knew what I wanted to do it the baby was a boy: Baseball {Red Sox}, but I was lost of an idea if it was a girl. It took me a little bit, but I finally came up with an idea, but I had everything set if it was a boy.
Shortly after late spring trip to Hawaii we found out they were having a boy and it was on. I was ready for a baseball shower -- I had already been saving screen shots on my phone from Pintrist (since I have Page I didn't want to pin anything because I didn't want her to know a thing).
I tend to be very detail orientated and you can ask my mother or Page's mother, who also helped us, that every single little detail was set and needed to be done to a tee.
Here are just some shots from the day, which throw us a curve ball (pun intended) with rain, but I just changed the schedule around and it still worked out perfectly.
We made everything to the custom clothes pins, baseball cookies, Red Sox colored pretzels and much more.
I also want to thanks my best friend Tasha Hughes for letting us use her pop corn maker and hot dog roller to help with the baseball theme.
Look for photos from the maternity and newborn sessions within the next week.
